Austin Collegiate DECA is far more than just a business organization.
DECA is an international competitive business association with over 225,000 current members between its high school and collegiate divisions.Austin Collegiate DECA is UT’s chapter of Collegiate DECA, making UT one of over 225 universities across the world with a collegiate DECA chapter.
Membership in DECA is a great way to get practical business experience and skills outside the classroom. We offer hands-on business workshops, competition prep, and networking.Austin Collegiate DECA is more than strictly business, however, as we also offer lots of social, philanthropic, and travel opportunities. DECA serves as a great way to get connected, meet new people, and learn more about the business world!

Members are able to choose an event in their individual area of interest ranging from finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship to fashion merchandising, sports & entertainment marketing, and travel & tourism!
We will also arrange workshops as well as career development conferences where you can further learn about the business world.
Austin Collegiate DECA’s Competitive Events Program allows members to put their experience, skills and knowledge to the test while representing our university.
Students compete for top international honors in one of 24 different competitions. Collegiate DECA competitive events recognize student achievement, provide opportunities for traveling to conferences, and facilitate networking with peers.
The Collegiate DECA Competitive Events Program is recognized for helping to prepare students for their professional careers in all events since students are judged by business and industry professionals.

From social to philanthropic opportunities, Austin Collegiate DECA is always up to something fun.
In April 2017, our chapter competed in Anaheim, CA and in April 2016, Washington, D.C.
In April 2018, our ICDC finalists will travel to Washington, D.C. yet again. As the place of the U.S. capital, Washington D.C. is also home to iconic monuments, museums, and performing-arts venues such as the Kennedy Center.
